Quick and Painless: The Culture of Instant Solutions

Quick and Painless is an exploration of the modern culture of instant solutions. Instant
is all around us, yet it has become so mundane we barely notice it. When were the first instant products invented? What goes into making something instant? What does it mean to use such products? Is there value to preparation and process? Can something be fixed in a mere instant? The fascinating, and often bizarre, world of quick and painless solutions is investigated and analyzed.
